The great thing about this milonga is the live music from a young outfit called Orquesta Típica El Afronte. The musicians, including a row of bandoneonistas stretching and squeezing with passion, a wild pianist and a by turns heartbroken and enraged vocalist, make this an unforgettable experience.

I came back to BsAs because I was blown away by the orchestra at Maldita and decided to learn tango. However, the class was terrible for people who are just starting out. Julio and Paula were not interested in beginners or what they took away from the class, we're condescending and just seemed to want to dance themselves. Not a nice atmosphere but if you just want to watch they put on a good show.

this is one of the "touristic traps" in Buenos Aires. They never hang the sign "sold out", even if there are already 200 or 300 persons inside they just don;t care: let's make some cash! The teachers focus on teaching steps you won't ever need for dancing tango at a real milonga and are glad to receive every night many tourists paying too much for a crap, overcrowded lesson.
