Museo Casa Carlos Gardel review

A long overdue tribute to one of the 20th century's greatest exponents of popular song, the Gardel museum is located in the house - a classic casa chorizo ('sausage house') in which all rooms open out onto a central patio - purchased by the singer in 1927. He lived here, in his beloved barrio, with his beloved mother, until 1933.

The museum preserves and exhibits various items and memorabilia that either belonged to or were connected to the maestro. It's a reasonable, cost-effective tribute - but the artist who was to tango what Elvis Presley was to rock 'n' roll surely deserves better.
