Argentinians do love their guitar music. Hence the enduring popularity of this so-called 'temple of rock' , which opened in 1917 and can hold 5,000 souls. Eric Clapton, James Brown, The Ramones, Megadeth, Manu Chao and most of BA's hottest bands have all played here. Renovated toilets and a new air-conditioning system have relieved the place of some of its traditional drawbacks.
