A little piece of Italy tucked away on a quiet street in the heart of Palermo, a narrow stairway leads up to this intimate space, whose red checkered tablecloths, mismatched wall art and Italian tunes help pull the scene together. Inviting you to 'mangia sano. mangia italiano', the menu's great selection of pastas, creative sauces and pizzas ensure just that: good, healthy Italian dining at a more than reasonable price. Attentive staff will gladly recommend a dish or help you narrow down your choices.
A standout on the menu (also in English) is the Homenage a Carlos Soto, a small pizza with the perfect amount of mozzarella, homemade sauce, fresh rocket, parma ham and parmesan cheese. If you save room for dessert, the rich tiramisu or chocolate mousse cake won't disappoint. There's live music some nights, and a nice outside patio for warm evenings. Previously Lucky Luciano's, the restaurant is now run by the owner of Guido's Bar, just around the corner.
