With hotshot international chefs and an interior put together by architectural whiz Marcelo Joulia, Unik hit Buenos Aires's gastronomic scene with a bang. Try the sole carpaccio followed by the slow-cooked roast lamb with cumin-flavoured quinoa. As for the service, efficient and multilingual staff is polite without being over-chummy, while the decor perfectly showcases the eclecticism of Joulia's work - a long, bright red banquette sits under an array of retro lamps, with a huge green neon light plucked from a Parisian nightclub illuminating the patio. All this glitz and glam may come with an international price tag, but all in all, it's a very pretty picture and safely puts Unik among Palermo's most beautiful restaurants.
