Filo has managed to keep its prices in check despite inflation, and as a result has become a popular lunchtime restaurant - come 1pm, even the bar stools are occupied by rows of financial advisers chowing down on pizzas, pasta, or grilled vegetables.

I'm writing this back at the hotel after the worst dining experience in my life. I arrived at the restaurant with my wife and 2 small daughters (5 and 6) and ordered one dish of ravioli, one tagliatelli and 9 oysters (raw). The pasta dishes appeared almost immediatly, both subpar looking like they were reheated instead of cooked to order. My wife and kids went for the pasta but quickly gave up and I waited for fhe oysters. After 30' of wait with no oysters I asked for the check. Another 15' wait and the oysters finally show up instead of the bill. At that time I told them it was too late, the kids were already asleep at the table and I was waiting for the check instead. The server said I had to pay for the oysters, they take time to prepare (these are chucked raw oysters! It takes seconds to chuch one!) and said he would have to call for the owner. The owner came out and said I was responsible for the order and they couldnt take it back and If I wished they could put them in a bag for me to take home. I said I didnt think it was fair to pay for the oysters after all the wait and the cancellation request and refused to pay so he said he'd have to call the police. We waited some 5' for the police to arrive. They were correct and polite but told me that I had two options, either pay the bill and file a complaint, or refuse to pay and go to the police station to address the complaint from the restaurant owner. Not just me but the whole family including the 2 kids!! I was very upset but ended up paying and writing a complaint just to go back to the hotel with the kids. In short, poor food, bad service, lack of education. I wouldn't recommed this restaurant to anyone.
