Probably one of the city's most frequently recommended restaurants, and a lovely bar in its own right too, Dada is cited again and again by locals as their favourite meeting spot. The chalkboard regularly changes and chilled lagers, good cocktails, and a fine boutique wine list complete a very pretty picture.

Great drinks and atmosphere but bartenders took advantage of tipsy gals who noticed my friends were american, ended up ripping us off 300 pesos.

Spent NYE 2010 and had the set degustation menu. Awesome! Atmosphere was great and very local, wait staff were fantastically friendly and my steak for main was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. Recommend to anyone travelling through BA.

Read about Dada in British Airways Highlife magazine (Dec 2010). What a dissapointment. Rude bar staff with too much attitude and the food was pretentious. Don't waste your time or money!

Overrated.

Reservation for 4 at 9:45, seated at 11. Willing to let that slide since it's BA. Had a nice time hanging out at the bar. However, the food was underwhelming. It seemed that the recipes were good and definitely a notch different than the standard fair, but they were not well prepared, especially considering the prices were a touch above typical for BA. The Lomo Dada had way too much Dijon in the sauce, to the point were it was more wasabi-like than it should have been. The lomo mediterraneo had a great sauce that went well with the potatoes. The shortcoming in both cases was that the steaks were overcooked; we ordered jugoso (medium rare) and got well done on three plates (also common in BA). The biggest disappointment was the pollo fricassee, since the rice was crunchy (not al dente, just uncooked). Again, summing up it seems like the dishes were well designed, just poorly executed. It was a Monday night, so maybe they had the B-team kitchen staff working.

If any of these shortcomings (long wait, poorly prepared foods, and overpriced) had been absent, I'd just chalk it up to the BA restaurant scene. However, considering all of the hype this place got on TOBA, tripadviser.com, and word of mouth, I feel like it definitely did not live up to the hype.
