"Kesa: Japanese Buddhist Monks’ Vestments"

The Art Institute's Department of Textiles presents an exhibition of kesa, the intricately woven garments traditionally worn by Japanese Buddhist monks and priests. The display includes a selection of 23 garments, some which date back to as early as 1615.
