After a run as a Lincoln Park outpost of Small Bar, this former pool hall is now a satellite location of the West Loop’s Beer Bistro. It remains a good-looking space, with a pretty wood bar, a lofted mezzanine level and a smattering of televisions. And it’s still got a beer selection to appease the increasingly difficult-to-appease beer drinker. But though it serves food (sliders, chicken fingers, etc.), it does so for fuel—not epicurean fancy—keeping the focus squarely on drinkable delicacies.
