The Holiday opened its doors on Madison and Green in 1979, but moved to its current digs when gentrification got a strong foothold. The self-proclaimed “Best steak and eggs in town” is no idle boast here, and plenty of blue-collar types congregate at dawn for that particular delight (and perhaps a few Budweiser longnecks) to start the day. A few drinks after breakfast gets us in the mood to pour money into the well-stocked CD jukebox.
