The Bar Below

Venture below the age-old diner Beef & Brandy and you’ll find this place, which recently underwent a renovation—pool table, craft beer selection, cocktails made with local spirits and all—ostensibly geared toward bringing in the Loop’s swell of college kids. To us, it still looks like a rec room from a rougher, shabbier era of this city’s downtown, which is exactly why we like it.
