The Griffin Lounge (CLOSED)

The name of this place alludes to its gothically tinged decor, but it's spiced up the crushed-velvet Victorian theme in proper River North style with low, modern seating and ample images of scantily clad women. Also in line with its 'hood, the DJs stick to a club-friendly format spinning electro, Top 40 and hip-hop. Occasionaly the place does snag higher-profile bookings that err on the progressive house side of things.
