Taco in a Bag is one of my favorite openings this year, just for the sheer joy of eating taco fillings stuffed into a bag. Recently, the restaurant extended its hours to include the window of time when you're mostly likely to crave a taco in a bag—late at night. It's now open until 2am Sunday through Thursday and 3am on Friday and Saturday. To promote the new hours, the restaurant is doing a free all-you-can-eat giveaway Saturdays in October from midnight until 1:30am.
This Saturday, Taco in a Bag is giving away my favorite taco, Cheeseburger Nachos, and on October 31, head there for free Reverse Coney tacos. Each customer can get two tacos per trip to the counter, but you can make as many trips in 90 minutes as you like. So far the record is three tacos, but that sounds like something that can easily be topped after weekend Halloween parties.
