The Aqua Tower is one of the coolest modern skyscrapers in Chicago. Designed by Jeanne Gang, head of Studio Gang Architects, it is the largest building to ever be awarded to a female-lead American firm. Last week, a 3,500-square-foot penthouse was listed in the heady, wavy building for $6 million.
The place occupies the 80th and 81st floors of the 82-story tower, and has a set of wrap-around balconies that could make anyone with mild acrophobia vomit. It has three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and comes with two parking spaces. It also comes with $2,170 monthly homeowner's association dues and more than $30,000 in annual property taxes.
The penthouse's interior design is surprisingly bland given Aqua's stunning exterior. For $6 million, you'd expect a little more aesthetic. Take a look for yourself:
