When we visit LA and NYC, we admit we get a little jealous of their massive vinyl record emporiums like Amoeba and Rough Trade. Finally, Chicago will get a big, bright new record store to compete with those bin-digging havens. Reckless Records moves its Wicker Park location a bit down Milwaukee Avenue to new digs next week, opening its doors at 10am on April 16, two days before Record Store Day. The older location will remain open for a time. The new space at 1379 Milwaukee formerly housed a Dollar Buster store. Stay tuned, as next week we'll have a complete rundown of Record Store Day events and more details on the next great Chicago record store.

UPDATE: Reckless Records has spilled the beans about the Record Store Day festivities at its new store, which will include a performance by the Sea and Cake at 3pm and an appearance by Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, who will be signing record between 3:30 and 5pm.
