Jonathan Berry will stage the Chicago premiere of Nick Payne's Constellations this summer at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Ensemble member Jon Michael Hill will star in the role recently played by Jake Gyllenhaal on Broadway.

The one-act play by British scribe Payne (whose If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet was staged by Berry at Chicago's Steep Theatre Company) follows beekeeper Roland (Hill) and theoretical physicist Marianne (to be cast later) through multiple possible iterations of their relationship after they meet at a party. The production, to be staged in Steppenwolf's Upstairs Theatre, will be Hill's first appearance at the theater since 2013's Head of Passes. Constellations runs May 26–July 3.
