Vince Vaughn still can't sell his Palmolive Building penthouse

Chicago native and funny man Vince Vaughn has been trying to sell his three-floor, 12,000-square-foot penthouse in the Palmolive Building for quite some time. The "frat pack" member first put the condo up for sale in 2011 for a hefty $24.7 million, just five years after purchasing it for $12 million. Last year, the price quietly dropped to $14.9 million, and in February the pad dropped again to its current list price of $13.9 million.

The home occupies the top three floors of the Gold Coast tower and has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, two fireplaces, a screening room and 360-degree views of the lake and skyline. From 1965 to 1989 the space was occupied by the headquarters of Playboy Enterprises (the building also used to be called the Playboy Building and had the word "PLAYBOY" spelled out in 9-foot letters on its facade).

The penthouse isn't the only Chicago spot that Vaughn has put on the market recently. In May, he listed his three-bedroom River North townhouse for $1.475 million, which Curbed reported that he never lived in. These sales could be a sign that the goofy movie star is looking to cut his ties with Chicago altogether, which makes his enthusiastic appearances at Blackhawks games seem a bit shallow.

Either way, if you've got eight figures to spare, you could live a lifestyle that Vaughn and Hugh Hefner have become accustomed to. Don't forget the $12,155 in monthly homeowner's association dues, though.
