Bikes, beer and circus performers take over Palmer Square during Tour De Fat, July 12th 2014.

New Belgium Brewery brings its signature celebration of bikes and beer to Palmer Square for another year of freaky fun. The day begins with a bike parade (at 11am) and continues with circus performers and live music (including Reggie Watts and Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds) in Palmer Square Park. The environmentally conscious festival benefits West Town Bikes and culminates with one lucky attendee trading his or her car in for a brand new bicycle.

This festival is so, so, so much fun. You can get great beers, watch some quirky musical acts, and take in a bit of funhouse flair. There's a really neat "bike pit" too, where anyone can try out bikes of all sizes, and really, even all shapes. It's a sight to see for sure.
