Dave’s Italian Kitchen

In lots of ways, eating here is like going to your Italian grandmother’s house for Sunday dinner. It’s loud, a little dysfunctional and the decor is pretty worn, but all that fades into the background at your first taste of that housemade red sauce. Neighborhood families allow Dave’s to be the grandma they never had, crowding the basement-level eatery for mega portions of mostaccioli, eggplant Parmesan and calzones. Wine snobs dine here, too, to see what new bottles oenophile Dave is serving up from his ambitious global collection.
