Sorry, Filter: Even though you got new digs and a new menu, you’ll always be a place that people don’t so much go to for your enormous, messy omelets and breakfast hashes as to camp out at for extended periods of time with coffee. And your space will never feel “designed” so much as “aggressively littered” with couches and tables that are, again, not so much vintage as very old. But neighborhood stalwarts are neighborhood stalwarts, which is how we suppose every seat on your dozens of faded couches is always taken. We just have one question: You’ve managed to pull an eclectic cross-section of Wicker Park out of the woodwork again—but where had they been without you?
