It's easy to see how the sweets here became a New York—and international—addiction: The dense cake is capped with thick, sweet frosting, and they evoke nostalgia for kiddie birthday parties. The vanilla is a classic, but we'd grab any cake out of the counter. But as good as the cupcakes are, the banana pudding is an underrated gem.
