After selling his wares at shops such as Macy’s and Urban Flair, locally based self-taught handbag designer Diego Rocha opens his first eponymous boutique in the Gold Coast, where shoppers can mix and match colors, bag styles and skins (python, ostrich, lizard, stingray, lamb or alligator). Those who prefer to grab and go can choose from the sample selection of readymade designs. Bags range from $400 for a clutch to $2,600 for a carry-all-your-belongings oversize tote.
