A long-established, family-run Lebanese restaurant, the Cedar Tree is as unpretentious and endearing as they come. Sure, you might find a belly-dancing floor show gets going while you're having your dinner, or some bloke may try to sell you a rose if you're dining à deux, but somehow it doesn't seem to matter much here. It's just part of the holiday vibe. The shishtaouk (marinated chicken) kebabs are delicious, as are the kafta halabieh (chargrilled meatballs of minced lamb, parsley, pine nuts and onion). Byblos 'house of mezze' next door is under the same ownership and serves lighter meals throughout the day.
