Voodoo Lounge review Rate it

Voodoo Lounge, owned by Huey Morgan of US one-hit-wonders The Fun Lovin' Criminals, is a NY-style booze emporium - cavernous and yet strangely pokey - complete with its own pizzeria. In recent years it has become a mainstay of Dublin's small, but reasonably vibrant, punk scene, regularly playing host to local face-melters like Easpa Measa as well as underground noise-bringers from the US and Europe, along with the occasional DJ set from the likes of Shane MacGowan. If you like your pizza slice with a side order of punk rock, Voodoo Lounge is worth the ten-minute walk from the city centre. And Statik!, Voodoo's Thursday evening indie club, is definitely worth a punt.
