An event to raise awareness of unnecessary food waste in the UK, including a free lunch for 5,000 people made from vegetables that would otherwise have gone to waste. London Mayor Boris Johnson will serve the first bowl of curry and there will be talks from Tristram Stuart, Rosie Boycott and the Bishop of London.
Plus, cooking demonstrations from chefs including Thomasina Myers and Arthur Potts Dawson, apple pressing and a live pig enclosure where food waste will be recycled as livestock feed.
