The commute just got more colourful as new posters designed by 15 contemporary artists including Pablo Bronstein, Sarah Lucas, Wolfgang Tillmans and Gillian Wearing go on show at four London Underground stations – Gloucester Road, Southwark, St James’s Park and London Bridge. Titled ‘15 for 150’, the displays are part of the year-long celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the tube. The posters can be viewed during regular tube station opening hours.
As part of this Art on the Underground commission the artists will also create limited-edition prints of their designs, with prices starting at £150; proceeds from sales will help to fund future Art on the Underground projects. For full details see http://art.tfl.gov.uk.
