What’s an artist to do when they leave Art College? In 1972 two young graduates tackled this problem by setting up Acme Housing Association, converting disused warehouses and homes that had become rife in the recession wasteland of East London to provide temporary solution for artists and their families. Uncovering the origins of this innovative group this exhibition treads their first ten years through archival documentation and photographs.
