From London to São Paulo, the British artist has photographed random white squares that he encounters during walks. In nearly 20 years, he’s amassed 500 images of these accidental artworks, which are on display for the first time in Gallery 2. Shown as a multi-screen installation, these images form a psychogeographical map of the cities Batchelor has visited and explore the idea of abstraction.
