Idiot Box

Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard curate this show about their fascination for TV culture. As students at Goldsmiths, Forsyth and Pollard embarked on making video work, here, they return to their first collaborative piece, ‘Chain Smoker-Tap Dancer’ from 1995 that features both artists performing a self-portrait. Presented on a video-wall along with a collection of short films by other artists including Matt Calderwood, David Shrigley and Gillian Wearing, Forsyth and Pollard evoke the captivating experience of the ‘idiot box’.
