To inaugurate their new space a little further up Kingsland Rd, Seventeen presents a group show of film works curated by associate director and artist Tim Steer that looks at the act of looking. John Cage’s only feature-length film, made the year of his death, focuses on the toing and froing of the camera lens, so your eyes and ears have to constantly. Harun Farocki’s film essay montages war footage and computer generated imagery to highlight the confusion between real and fake. Sophie Michael creates the presence of a space through multi-coloured abstract shapes.
