Nikita Kadan: Limits Of Responsibility

Kiev’s recent protests, in particular when Independence Square was occupied with improvised homesteads, inform the Ukrainian artist’s practice. For his first UK solo, Kadan’s sculptures and watercolours are inspired by the ad hoc horticultural aspects of the square’s occupation and in turn use the renewal aspect of nature to comment on the political and social climate of his homeland.
