If there ever was a hidden gem in London – this is it. So much so that I was debating with myself whether I should write this review, for fear of telling too many people about it!
The Players Bar and Kitchen is the bar of the Player Theater, right under Charing Cross station.
The bar is popular with West End theatre folk
and performers... come after 11pm any night and you will find a piano player
(who accepts request) and a jolly crowd singing along to his songs – everything
from ‘It’s raining men’ to the theme of ‘Cheers’. Come on a Saturday night and
you will find the biggest sing-a-long in London – if you don’t leave with a
sore throat you’ve done something wrong…
The bar is busy, but not overcrowded, with one of the best and friendliest atmospheres you will ever experience in London.
