Portobello Star

The staff in this bar need to be sacked! They were young, arrogant and drunk, chatting amongst themselves and taking ages to serve people. In particular one female member of staff was extremely abusive, customers were genuinely shocked by her behaviour! We will never drink here again!

I went to the Star last night and was disgusted by the behaviour of the immature, arrogant and abusive staff downing shots behind the bar whilst a big queue of people were waiting to be served. The drinks were over priced and not even full and when we questioned it we were just affronted with abuse. We left immediately.

was in last night for my birthday celebrations and had a wonderful time! I phoned earlier in the week to see if there was anyway i could reserve an area for me and my friends and this was done with ease and best of all completely free of charge... all the bookings taker asked was that we turned up and enjoyed the night. I noticed in the previous comment about the VAT price increase and can sympathise with Elena yet at the same time i understand it was only an increase of about 30p?! (i think... my memory is hazy thanks to the several birthday cocktails!) Plus the prices are ridiculous; Mint Juleps for under £7?! DJ mint, Staff mint, Mint juleps... mint!
