I bloody love Little Nan's! Incredible cocktails and friendly, welcoming staff. The cheese straws are pretty damn good too. Another jewel in Deptford's crown(/anchor)!

Searching for a cool venue to shoot Poplin Pyjamas - Little Nan's Bar became our first choice. We were so pleased that Tristan managed to fit us in and we couldn't have been happier with the finished pictures. This is an absolute gem of a venue. So unique.
just had a fantastic mother's day afternoon tea at Little Nan's thanks to my two lovely sons and husband. Thanks Nan and team - fantastic home -made food and great value for money. We loved the bar and will have to come back for cocktails. Thanks for looking after us so well and making us all feel special. x
An unexpected treasure taking you into a different world, away from the hustle and bustle, and the cocktails are great as well!
This is my most favourite place to go ever! It has the best venue a huge amount of time and effort has gone into the amazing decor the owner is great very friendly and helpful the cocktails are just amazing all in all this place is just simply the best!
I stumbled across this bar a few Fridays ago. They serve actual pints of Tiger beer! Brilliant. Love the decor, can't believe there is a lamp just like one my nan had, the only other place I have seen one of these is in Britt Eckland's bedroom in The Wicker Man.
Almost reluctant to say anything about Little Nan's as it may spoil its unique quality - genuinely cool (as its Shoreditch/Dalston counterparts ache to be) and in no way pretentious (as its Shoreditch/Dalston counterparts invariably are). It is obviously a labour of love for the proprietor - fun, friendly, it feels like a secret pleasure...alas, probably not secret for much longer. Grab a cocktail there while you can claim it's your own special discovery...
I'll keep it as a amazing surprise for the first time you find the scruffy exterior, wander hesitantly down an alley past the bins, and open the door to the wonderful...
This is my favourite bar in London- super cool but without pretence. There's comfy seats, framed pictures of the royals, delicious cocktails served in teapots and a poster of wigfield in the loo- what's not to like?
LOVE this place! I stumbled upon this bar on a drunken night in Deptford. Me and my mates walked past the entrance and saw a cocktail menu propped up on an old chair. WFT, we thought what is this? Eventually we plucked up our dutch courage and walked through the door down the dodgiest looking corridoor - through the door...into my nanna's living room! Such a nice vibe. Really random (without being anoying) touches like a wig box, and cocktails in teapots. And the prices are really reasonable. £4 cocktails! Love the tunes, love the staff love the decour! Little nan love me but I love lil nan's more!
I cannot say enough amazing things about Little Nan's. I went here for my 25th birthday, with a lot of different frienship groups to try and please. I reserved a small area and even had my own cocktail made for me! The bar itself is small, but I think this adds to the feeling of being in your Nan's living room! The decor is fantastic with many pieces bringing back memories of things my actual Nan had. After about 7 the place was packed, so if it's for an occassion I would book! The drinks I cannot fault. I was worried that the cocktails would be weak considering the bargin prices, but they all tasted amazing. I could happily sit there and work my way through the whole menu. I also loved that I could bring my own snacks with me, however, the only bad thing I will say is that I wasn't in time to try any of Nan's home made cheese straws. Overall, this had become my favourite bar in London and cannot wait to go back to Nan's
Unlike a lot of these newly opened on-trend/cool 'speakeasys', the staff are always so friendly. It's such a kooky little place - I recently had my birthday here and we had such a fun night! It was free to book an area so, although it's small, me and my mates had a place to sit. Great value drinks (about £4 a cup), and Tristan will mix up a special birthday cocktail in your honour if you ask :D
Little nans is special. Little nans is great. Little nans will charm your pants off, a good place to take a date :)
A lovely friendly astomsphere, great drinks at good prices.good combination for a great night out. I take all my friends there, and recomend this bar to everyone.
Fantastic cocktails in kitch teacups, beer served in whacky mugs, delicious homemade snacks and all in the comfort of your Nan's cosy front room. What more could you want? A little treat on your way out? They've got that covered with a bowl of Club biscuits for you to grab as you leave. If you want something a little more you can even order your own take-away in. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and a real hidden gem!
Very cool, friendly staff. Excellent and reasonbable prices for cocktails with regular specials. Superior munchies . Excellent personal touches such as inventing a cocktail for a friends birthday. And bonus free earrings.
What's not to love?! This place has it all. From the minute you slope off the main drag, it's an awe inspiring trip off bizarrely juxtaposed 90s pop references and bad polyester. You'll probably need a stiff drink just to get over the excitement, which is great because nan's got the lot. Curious cocktails served in kitsch crockery and pleasing wealth of ale, cider and beer. Top notch. Drag your friends along and earn serious brownie points for having found somewhere so genuinely fun and original. And if you really want to make a night of it there's a great little club just next door!
My grandma's home away from home. I love coming to this place with my mate's. The staff are friendly the interiors have a real vintage look of your grandma's living room. The Queen Victoria has got to be my favourite cocktail with a slice of millionaire shortbread, although the shortbread has been sold out due to high demand. Wouldn't think it would be as busy during the summer but when the weather changes in a few weeks I have a feeling it will become the #1 hangout.
Calling this bar a 'hidden gem' sounds like a cliché but there is nothing clchéd or unoriginal about this bar. Quirkily themed to look like your Nan's living room and staffed by super-friendly people, this is one of my favourite bars in South London. You can have cocktails in teapots and your G&T in a Royal mug - you can even get a cocktail invented and named for you for your special occasion. Try the Werther's Original Vodka...just like your grandad used to give you...;-) It's as if your Nan's living room as you remember it when you were 5 years old, suddenly contains all the things you wished it had when you were 18 years old. If you're in Deptford, you should go. If you're not in Deptford, you should go.
This place is an absolute gem! Instantly inviting and full to the brim with character - the ceiling is a checkerboard of lush fabrics and the fantastic cocktails are served through gilt picture frames! This is a bar where everyone is genuinely welcome, and is fast becoming the worst kept secret in London! The drinks are an absolute bargain and the homemade snacks are brilliant to soak them all up with. The owner's 'little nan' would be proud!
This is my 'happy' place... never leave disappointed! From teacup cocktails, to half pints in Jedward mugs this place has everything! Wigs in chests of drawers, cheese straws which quite frankly are amazing and it always has incredibly happy clientele! The Paddy Ashdown is my favourite cocktail, and definitely try Nan's famous Werthers Original Vodka! It packs a punch! I will be spending my 30th birthday celebrating here and cannot wait! Get yourselves down for an amazing night... yet to meet Nan but I hear she is a gem!
A fantastic little bar, brimming with atmosphere and clever little ideas. Perhaps a little out of the way, but it's really nice once you're there.
Love Little Nan's Bar! Like nothing I've ever seen before, it's like stepping into another world! So happy that it's no longer a pop up and has been made a permanent fixture in good old Deptford. LOVE the Paddy Ashdown and Sir Francis Drake cocktails. The Lady Pat Butcher always goes down a treat too, each one is served with a little surprise. Always a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and the drinks come at purse friendly prices. Free shots of candy flavoured vodka for tagging in is a winner and the cheese straws are a must. Vintage lovers should deffo check out the monthly market, with most goods costing under a tenner, bargains galore!
