No prizes for guessing why this cocktail bar at the Sanderson hotel is so called: it's 80ft in length, so we reckon it earns its tag. It's open to hotel guests and visitors, and you can take drinks to the good-looking courtyard should all the bar stools be taken.
It's mostly about the cocktails. The list includes a tropical caipiroska (Belvedere vodka, Passoa, passion fruit, lime and mango), a sucette (Belvedere raspberry vodka, strawberry and passion fruit) and a Sanderson, made with Beefeater gin, lychee juice, melon liqueur, lime and Aperol. Champagne from well-known houses also features.
A small selection of bar bites also features, ranging from crispy calamari, spiced chicken wings and smoked salmon scotch eggs to burgers, club sandwiches, a triple-cheese toastie and a salt beef bap.

Went to this bar as part of a professional event. Waited 20 minutes at the bar whilst all around me who had arrived after I had were being served. Even the people next to me who had finished their drinks in the meantime were asked for their order, when I pointed out that I'd been waiting first it emerged that a rather shallow barman who should have served me earlier had chosen to 'swap' as he called it and disappear to another part of the bar instead. The self important barman now serving my neighbours grudgingly offered to take my order at the same time but offered no apology for the long wait. I left without bothering to take up the offer but not before complaining to the bar manager who offered no apology either. Was made to feel humiliated in a bar of seemingly happy other punters - have never been made to feel more like a stranger in this city (London) that I was born and bred in. Avoid this bar!
Me and 3 of my friends decided to go to Sanderson bar tonight to have couple glasees of champagne as it was my friends birthday. The doorman stopped us and said that we are not allowed for some reason.Mind you, we all are professionals, been to Sanderson twice before(last time April 2011-18 month ago!) and never caused any troubes there. On my question why we were denied the entrance, the Italian manager said it is his desision and he wouldnt give any explanations. We are all shocked that that level hotel could hire such Unprofessional, unpolite and customer-disorientated manager.Terrible! Never again! The place just looks smart and classy, but full of unprofessionalism and low class. Shame on management and their attitude to the clients.
