XOXO  IS RACIST & RUDE!

I came to XOXO on Saturday 8th March 2014 for my birthday. I had invited 20 guests to celebrate with me and had pre ordered all my guests food as requested from management. Half my party arrived and we requested our orders, about 9.10pm i requested for the rest of the pre orders to come out which the manager Pria agreed. My friend then came upstairs 10 mins later in utter shock. She said that when she came out the toilet she heard a lot of shouting coming from the Kitchen which is situated right by the toilet. She was standing there with another bloke called Jason who was not a part of my birthday guest. They heard the chef shouting as if there was an argument screaming ' I HATE BLACK PEOPLE, BLACK PEOPLE MAKE ME SICK........ ' After his rant continued there was silence where all could be heard is someone coughing up flem and spitting. It was said that THE CHEF AT XOXO SPAT IN MY BIRTHDAY CAKE WHICH MY PARTNER HAD JUST PICKED UP FROM BEING MADE.  Management apologized but what is an apology to racial abuse.  He also offered me ONE FREE DRINK WHAT A JOKE! NEVER GO TO XOXO THE CHEF MAY SPIT IN YOUR FOOD. PRIA HELPED OUT AS MUCH AS SHE CAN BUT  BLAME THE OWNER FOR NOT TAKING FULL RESPONSIBILITY. THIS IS NO THE END I WILL BE TAKING THIS MATTER FURTHER.

I visited this place on Saturday at 9. The food was nice but the service and atmosphere was appalling. Once we ordered drinks the waitress came to the table with a bill and card machine, we were told we couldn't order food until we paid for the drinks. We then ordered our food which was very nice, starters and main meal. While eating our starters they opened the doors behind us which left us cold and clouded with smoker's smoke. While eating our main within 20 minutes, the waitress threw our bill at us without explanation, took our candle from the table and the restaurant went pitch black ready for the bar crowd. They didn't tell us when we started eating that they were closing the restaurant in half an hour, so we finished out main meal in the dark listening to 'mysterious girl' on full blast next to two other diners who had just got their starter. When we were ready to pay the bill we asked for the added service charge to be taken off as the service was undeniably bad, after a little argument from the waitress, she agreed. The place doesn't know if it wants to be a restaurant or a bar, I wouldn't come to eat here on a busy night and don't expect much in terms of service. Also, Thai food is a bit misleading, it is a fusion restaurant, if you want Thai go to Thai square down the road.
