You could walk past the door of this Soho speakeasy every day and never know it was there, and that's just how the owners like it. For most of the week, Milk & Honey is open only to members (£250 a year, plus a £50 joining fee).
Note though: it's a members' club most of the time, although the rest of us can book a table in the early evening for two hours maximum, as long as you book at least a day in advance, and arrive before 9pm.
The Prohibition ideal is carried through to the vaguely art deco interior (dimly lit, adding to the air of secrecy), the jazz and ragtime soundtrack and the perfectly executed classic cocktails. Granted, the atmosphere isn't at its most kinetic at, say, 7pm on a Tuesday, but the excellent cocktails more than make up for it. Everywhere you look, the emphasis is on quality, from the daily squeezed juices and twice-frozen ice to the stock of premium spirits. It's almost enough to make you want to join.

Facilities
Booking essential ( for non-members ), Function rooms ( 50 capacity )I agree with the Time Out review - the emphasis is on quality, both in content and presentation.
Nice enough and the service was decent, but it's certainly not 5 star - given the membership fee you would expect top quality but this is not the case, with areas needing repainted and what looks like expensive gold wall tiles actually painted plastic. Add to that big, black, clashing speakers not even hidden from view and it seems like too little effort for what should be a premium space.
Haven't been for ages and went the other night, forgot how brilliant this place is, loved the vibe and the drinks were superb. We had a friendly bartender who looked after us all night and recommended some cocktails we wouldn't have usually tried. Will definitely come again soon.
I went to Milk and honey with my friend, he's a member. I'd never thought that there was such a venue in the hear of soho... Great place to go to, especially if you want great drinks and food in a friendly environment.
