You don't expect to find a bar like Lost Angel along this sorry-looking stretch of the Battersea Park Road, but there is a precedent: this building was once home to Dusk, which brought a little glamour to the street. The frontage now reads 'Bar, Restaurant, Boozer', more a sign of true versatility than of an incipient identity crisis.

The range of drinks covers most bases: the three ales may include Otter Ale, while the cocktail list is split between classics and shouldn't-work-but-do reinventions (mojitos made with pomegranate juice and gin, for instance). It's all served within an eye-catching interior that falls between corner pub (tiles, dark wood) and modish bar (trumpets on the ceiling, white phone box); there's also a nice little garden.

The kitchen offers poshed-up bar food, and entertainment runs from DJs to quiz nights; service couldn't be friendlier. Lovely.

I recently visited The Lost Angel for the first time and was sooooo impressed! The night was busy but found the staff to be so nice and eager to please contrary to some other reviews! The venue is beautiful and I plan on going back for dinner soon and making the most of the night, the food looked amazing so I plan on fuelling up on dinner, then lots of cocktails and dancing the night away! You have to check this place out!

In the 12 years I have lived in London this is - without doubt - the worst bar I have ever been to. As others have commented, the staff are beyond rude and incapable of putting together a drinks order without rolling their eyes (that is once you have managed to fight your way to the bar). It doesn't stop at the staff though, the crowd were the most aggressive, socially inept bunch of morons I have ever met. If they don't have a dozen fights to deal with on a Saturday night I would be surprised. The fact it has ever received an award is a disgrace.

The five of us had a great time on Saturday night, the food was wonderful and though very busy I though the service was very good. This is a hidden gem.

I have been a regular at The Lost Angel for many years now and can't get enough! The staff are always friendly and helpful so completely disagree with the previous review! I spent NYE there and the place looked quality! Masked ball-happy days! Everyone joining in and getting in the spirit of the night whole place counting down at midnight-goosebumps! Can't wait to go again!!!!

The most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered in my life. Great venue shame about the people. The manager is unwilling to take any criticism of his aggressive and rude staff. I am sad and disappointed about the standards in general. oh and don't leave your drink out of your hand it will be removed in an instant! 0/10

Headed down to The Lost Angel for dinner on the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed! Had the most amazing food, I was told that they had just created their new menu and boy was it good! I would definately come back again and would tell everyone to get down there!! Also what capped it off was the charming service oh and the Espresso Martini at the end!!

Does its job as a late night boozer but only if you're willing to put up with staff who are too cool to do their jobs properly, i.e. serve drinks. On two occasions the bar team were either too overwhelmed or too drunk to cope with numbers as soon as business picked up a little after midnight. 15-20 min. waiting time to get a simple drink while they fuss around with cocktails...

Me and my kids went for sunday lunch last week, after having been before Christmas with a Groupon voucher with the hubby. After having a romantic dinner with him during the week, the bubbly atmosphere of sundays was a surprise! the food was yummy, the staff were friendly and acccomodating (especially with my kids!) and the live music was fantastic! this may become a bit of a sunday habit!
