Sad news, one of our fave east London eating spots Rita's is closing this Sunday July 31. Since opening three years ago, the Mare Street stalwart has been serving up dangerously good frozen margaritas, fried chicken and other artery-hardening delicious grub to hungry Hackneyites. And now they're off. They haven't released a statement saying why they're closing but we're heartened to hear that the Rita's crew are definitely going on to work on other (hopefully edible) projects. We'll bring you any news that we hear. Until then, get booked it this week by emailing bookings@ritasbaranddining.com and give them a good old send off.
