This Kingsland High Street hang out is a bit of a face on the east London party scene. In true Dalston style it's home to all sorts: popular with a large and diverse LGBT crowd, but welcoming to all and everyone. DJs – mostly local, many well-known – keep feet dancing with sets from Wednesday through to Sunday. Music-wise, you can groove and grind to anything from White Leather Viper Club's weekly Wednesday instalment of electro and mutant-pop, to Italo and disco at Discosodoma, to '90s R&B and hip hop at Put It In Your Mouth.
There's also variety on the drinks list. Seven draught beers and ciders include Brooklyn Lager, Frontier, Kirin Ichiban, Guinness and Estrella, complemented by 18 bottles (Punk IPA, Sierra Nevada, Sol, Peroni, Anchor Steam to name a few), as well as a few guest beers on rotation. Classic cocktails feature alongside house concoctions, shooters and jugs of Pimms and Sangria.
Alongside weekly specials the seasonal menu features dishes such as chicken burgers, minute steak buns, chickpea and potato dahls and pan-fried king prawns served with a tomato, lime, chilli, paprika, avocado and mango salad. Cabaret brunches also prove popular.
Keep an eye out for student drink offers and queer art exhibitions, too.

Thoroughly enjoyed myself. Got there early (pre-10pm entry is free) to a very chilled out vibe, but things picked up very quickly. Great mix of music and everyone seemed very laid back. Special mention to the bar staff who were both friendly and accommodating.
I've used to go there for breakfast after a night out, but after the recent renovation I might have found a better breakfast place just a few doors up the road. The new menu sounds better than actually is, their scrambled eggs was horrible and didn't even taste like eggs at all, my friend had the goats cheese dish and could not even finish it. Will not come back
great music and a fun mix of people. not at all "campy" as claimed in the description, but definitely hipster-fashionista (but in a fun way, not pretentious). went on a saturday, and the place was packed. But the venue is really narrow, so people are always carving a path through the dance floor (lots of spilled drinks) and trying to maneuver around the bar upstairs was at times impossible. That is the biggest drawback. They also ran out of room in the coat check by 1 am, so I would suggest getting there early. There was a line by 2 am (surely they were already over capacity). Four stars for the good vibes and great DJ, but the venue itself leaves much to be desired.
