Time Out says

Nightclubs and theme parks have a lot in common. They're both full of people waving their hands in their air, shouting, losing their inhibitions and wanting to have a bloody good time. Plus, both can induce vomiting if you overdo it.

So this series of monthly club nights at Thorpe Park, hosted by south London superclub Ministry of Sound, should be a wild ride. The concept is simple: get a load of MoS DJs to play banging, floor-filling house, techno and electro tunes while punters get free reign to run around Thorpe Park, dancing and hopping on all the stomach-churning rides without needing to push all the kids out of the way.

There are six sessions taking place from now until November, all with a different dance music theme, including a Miami Session to kick things off on 12 April, '90s Anthems, Old Skool and an Ibiza Annual.

It's another sign that Ministry is here to stay, a welcome relief after the club's closure scare (based around potenitlal noise complaints from a planned block of nearby flats) ended earlier this year.

Bear in mind that the fun finishes at 3am, which is great for having a proper dance session, but also means that you're going to have to plan well to get home. The park is in a pretty isolated spot in Surrey, just off the M25, so you either need a designated driver or face a payday-ruining taxi fare. Or you could stay in the newly opened Thorpe Shark Hotel on-site, themed around – yep – sharks.

So grab a ticket and scream if you want to go faster. Just don't spew on the dancefloor.
