We arrived at 9pm and were at first excited as it seemed there was lots going on and we were impressed by the atmosphere. However, the poor management of the event soon became apparent: Poor management of bars. On both occasions that we went to the bar it took us over half an hour to get served by rather inexperienced and impolite staff. There was clearly not enough staff employed for the number of guests. No information regarding the zombie run events and the night vision room. We saw one blackboard advertising these but this did not let us know that both events ended at midnight. We queued first for 50 minutes to get into the night vision room and were then told it was unlikely we would get in and were advised to go to the zombie run instead. Annoyed at having wasted nearly an hour we took the advice but then waited outside the zombie room for another 30 minutes. Eventually another customer went through to see why it was taking so long as your staff had no idea why it was taking so long. The customer found that the actors were packing up and leaving; no one had come to tell the group of us waiting outside. The member of staff who had been guarding the door was clearly very embarrassed at the distinct lack of organisation. Another half an hour was wasted and we were ready to go home. If these events were running only until 12am why was this not information clearly displayed so we could make the decisions ourselves rather than having no control of what we did with our time. Given the choice, we would not choose to wait in queues for an hour and a half for nothing. Additionally, why were these events even finishing at 12am when we had paid until 2am? Furthermore the security staff were extremely aggressive in dealing with my complaint, and could see no wrong in the way the queues had been handled. Thank you to the much more polite gentleman who did listen to my complaint and advised me to email feedback@oldvictheatre.com as there was nothing he could do. I find it hard to believe that after two previous nights, such issues had not been ironed out. Having paid £27.50 and not having experienced either of the main events advertised, I find this entirely unsatisfactory and respectively ask for a refund. I look forward to your reply as per my email dated 7.10.12.

Poorly organised event, aggressive security staff, poor music (well advertised but not very well executed). Ideally I would like a refund because there was nothing organised to justify paying £26.50. If I want to play on a bouncy castle and swings I could do that for free...

Very poor organisation: events finished way too early and even made people wait for an hour and then decided to just close the event! Not worth the money paid for the tickets ...

As a suitable venue, I would give this 5 stars, dank musty with long shadows cast across the walls. As for the horror camp, there were 3 disappointing points. 1. Very little audience participation. There were very few actors and those were far outnumbered by the many unfriendly and sometimes aggressive security staff. This also seemed unnecessary given that there was a relatively mellow atmosphere - more like a school disco than a wild rave. 2. The events such as the zombie run and voodoo workshop finished far too early. 3. The DJ sets were lazy to say the least. Yet again, school disco comes to mind.

Really disappointing, failed to make use of a superb venue, a mish mash of good ideas but poorly executed and a low turn out. Extremely bad value for money.
