Chessboxing

Apparently not as diametrically opposed as they at first seem, chess and boxing come together in a clash of brains and brawn that sees opponents combine strategy, tactics and punching power. The game begins with a four-minute round of chess followed by a three-minute round of boxing, with games alternating over 11 rounds until the end of the match. Bouts feature some of the best-known names on the scene, including the UK number-one heavyweight Andy 'The Rock' Costello. When it's all over there's a perfectly friendly after-party with DJs.
