A new festival down south by the people behind Kendal Calling up north, Forgotten Fields brings a trio of British headliners – Brixton party-starters Basement Jaxx, Britpop oddballs Super Furry Animals and folk-punk festival favourites The Levellers – to a deer park just outside Tunbridge Wells. Other top acts include golden age hip hop crew De La Soul, hard-rocking history geeks Public Service Broadcasting and synth-shimmering rock crew The Horrors. Capacity is only 4,000, so this’ll be an intimate affair by festival standards – prepare to bump into the same people over and over again throughout the weekend. Oh, and the low capacity and lowish ticket prices mean Forgotten Fields should sell out quickly too: book sharp if you want in.
