2012's 'Rise' was this Canadian, ex-Wailin’ Jennys singer's response to the sometimes violent treatment of protesters in the Occupy movement, including the raucous, almost gypsy-punk styled 'G20 Song', with its lyrics about 'cops warmed up… brave little smashers with a street to overthrow', and a cover of Peter Tosh’s 'Equal Rights' .
