The Royal Ballet teams up with National Gallery curator Minna Moore Ede to explore the origin of myth and creation through dance, visual art, film, music and movement. Over a month, the mostly free festival focuses on two archetypal myths: Prometheus, and Leda and the Swan. Sunday 28 Sep sees the Deloitte Ignite Family day, which features events catered specifically to the entire clan. Royal Ballet soloist Kristen McNally stages a piece created for BalletBoyz the Talent, while Turner Prize winning artist Chris Ofili works with dancers from the Royal Ballet and rising choreographer Aakash Odedra on a new commission. In it, Offili will paint directly onto dancer's bodies. As well as all these eclectic dancer offerings, don't miss the talks, video and artworks all on show throughout. This year also features a pop up interactive street performance in Covent Garden where choreographer Luca Silvestrini takes over shop fronts. See the series website for full listings.
