Dinosaur Jr + Villagers + Wolf People

It's been a long time between drinks for the HMV in-store, but this reintroduces the concept in grand style. This event is the launch of Mojo's annual awards ceremony, dedicated to honouring some of the great names in contemporary music. Performing here are the uber-loud peerless godfathers of hybridised grunge, metal and pop, Dinosaur Jr, along with Villagers' pleasingly bruised and delicately weary, poetic lyrics laid over piano-laced, finger-plucked alt.folk. A fine lineup is completed by sextet Wolf People's awesome blend of psych-folk, prog rock and deeply groovy '70s blues.
