Giovanni di Pergolesi’s definitive setting of sacred poem ‘Stabat Mater’ is presented by La Nuova Musica directed by David Bates, with soprano Lucy Crowe and countertenor Tim Mead. Other Baroque classics on the bill are JS Bach’s ‘Widershehe doch der sünde’, Vivaldi’s cantata ‘In Furore Iustissimae’ and Locatelli’s Concerto Grosso 11 in C minor.
