No Quarter returns to Notting Hill Arts Club for 2014, shifting from a weekly event to a monthly Wednesday night on the second week of each month. But the band-focused vibe remains, as does the open-minded music policy that keeps things fresher than Will Smith in his glory days. Still one of the best places to catch new music in west London, expect to hear a bit of anything and everything from a variety of upcoming and buzzy bands, from arty indie riffers to soulful singers to hip hop acts to electro-rockers. And for extra zing, guest curators, such as bands, promoters and labels, will occasionally be called in to spread their musical wisdom around.
