A gang of talented electronic musicians perform Terry Riley's unbelievably influential, semi-arbitrary minimalist composition 'In C' (1964). Performing the piece are Pantha Du Prince And The Bell Laboratory, whose 'Elements of Light' album – delicate, moody techno with the addition of an enormous carillon of bells – is one of 2013's best, and Matthew Herbert with the European group Stargaze. They'll be playing the piece (with bells on) using acoustic instruments, samplers, synths and all manner of chimes – and, even more excitingly, there'll be a trippy audiovisual element thanks to the Joshua Light Show, a psychedelic projection crew who rose to prominence on the acid scene of late-’60s America. A must-C.
